Professor Boisvert, Senior Professor of Management and Resource Economics at Cornell University has undertaken research for the past 20 years to characterize how and why customers respond to prices and the consequential impacts on electricity market performance. He has developed techniques for quantifying price response and differentiating customer by how non-price factors influence the intensity of their response. Undertaken as part of his academic research agenda and as a consultant to UtiliPoint, his work has resulted in numerous publications in professional journals and trade publications.
