Mr. Hobbs has keynoted around the world on key issues and drivers impacting how energy companies do business and is a frequent speaker and presenter at energy events.   He is extensively published on the topic of change and its impact on the energy business and routinely writes articles across a variety of national and international industry publications.
  
 

Robert C. Bellemare, P.E.
President and CEO

With 20 years of experience in the utility business, Mr. Bellemare advises clients on asset valuation, financial modeling, strategic planning, public issues management, and pricing products and solutions. He previously worked for Fortune 500 utilities in a variety of capacities including managing director of energy services, director of market research, wholesale trading and operations, research and development, distribution engineering and power plant engineering. His experience includes working in one of the largest coal plants in the northeast as well as helping to manage some of the largest solar and wind research projects of their time. Mr. Bellemare was co-lead of the unregulated business merger integration team for the AEP-CSW merger. Recently, he completed a study for a utility client in which the economics of new generation, transmission and energy efficiency investments were contrasted and examined. Mr. Bellemare is frequently quoted in the press and makes public presentations on energy issues, with recent forums including CNBC, the World Energy Council, Energy Risk Mutual and industry regulators. He is a registered professional engineer and holds a master's degree in electric power engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

  
 

Larry Gill
Director of Utility and Energy Technology Projects

Mr. Gill is responsible for achieving superior project management for both the AMI-MDM and CIS practices while providing periodic sales and business support.  Mr. Gill has over twenty years of energy and utility industry experience.  His primary focus has been in design, development and support of CIS Billing and Metering systems in both regulated and de-regulated markets. His previous work history includes experience at Alliance Data, American Electric Power, Central and South West Services, Public Service Company of Oklahoma, and CONOCO/DuPont. 

 

Jon T. Brock
Managing Director and COO

Senior Strategy Advisor: Mr. Brock has experience as a COO of a utility services business, with a focus on IT services and strategic intelligence. He also has experience in utility business design, business plan development, utility metering services, outsourcing and infrastructure design and development. As Director of CSW retail services, Mr. Brock directed the activities of a large public utility as it entered into the competitive retail energy markets.

Patti Harper-Slaboszewicz
Senior Director, Smart Grid

Ms. Harper-Slaboszewicz is leads UtiliPoint's Smart Grid practice.  She provides business case development, market research, strategic planning and consulting in the areas of AMI, Demand Response, and meter data management as part of the UtiliPoint International's Utility and Energy Technology practice. Ms. Harper-Slaboszewicz is currently working on the PowerCentsDC project in the District of Columbia and is an industry expert on rate design and demand response pilot design and implementation.  She also manages the AMI MDM industry group, a working group designed to assist utilities in successfully implementing AMI and MDM.

Ms. Harper-Slaboszewicz formerly worked at Utility.com, a competitive energy service provider, and at PG&E, a large electric and gas utility in California.

  
 J. Christopher Perdue
Senior Director, Market Research

Mr. Perdue directs UtiliPoint's market research efforts which result in special reports/analyses for corporate clients. In addition, Mr. Perdue's expertise includes forecasting of load, economic development, financial consulting, research, and retail solutions development and support at energy companies. Mr. Perdue has work experience at Excelergy, Duke Solutions, Central and South West, and Gulf States Utilities. Mr. Perdue most recently served at American Electric Power in roles with the software and technology company Excelergy.  

  
 

Carol Ray, PMP
Director, Utility and Energy Projects

Carol Ray, PMP, has been in the Energy and Utilities industry for over 15 years; in 2007, she was the program manager for one of the largest AMI initiatives in North America, managing AMI infrastructure projects, Meter Data Management Application (MDMA) initiatives and overseeing more than 20 projects in the AMI program.

Ms. Ray has focused on transmission and distribution projects for AMI infrastructure in Powerline Carrier (PLC) and Broadband over Powerline (BPL), MDMA infrastructure projects, and has successfully managed and implemented numerous Smart Metering initiatives which include meter data portal projects, AMR/AMI network projects with related business, process changes and workflow management. She also attended the State of Texas Advanced Metering Infrastructure Technologies workshops as a technical representative and UtiliPoint's AMI MDM Working Group in the United States.

Prior to joining UtiliPoint, Ms. Ray held project and program management positions with Capgemini, PNM Resources, ITRON, Central and South West (now AEP) and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). Utility Contract assignments included Oncor and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). She was also an Information Technology director for a Fortune 500 company in the Customer Relationship Management industry.

  
 

Patrick Reames
Vice President, CommodityPoint

Mr. Reames has more than 25 years of energy industry experience. He has a deep understanding, developed through hands-on experience and managerial oversight, of upstream and midstream oil and gas operations including exploration, production, gathering, gas plant operations and pipeline operations. Additionally, he has several years of energy commodity trading, transportation, and risk management experience with Amerada Hess, a Fortune 100 integrated energy marketing company. Over the last seven years, he has been focused primarily on information technology serving energy marketing.

During this period, Mr. Reames has served as an executive for several technology companies providing products and services to gas and power marketing organizations, most recently serving as COO of TradeWell Systems, Inc. In these roles, his focus has been on the creation and delivery of high value service products designed to ensure the successful implementation and on-going use of technology solutions.

  
 

Gary M. Vasey, Ph.D.
CommodityPoint, General Manager, UtiliPoint Europe 

Over the course of a 20-year career, Gary has acquired extensive experience in the energy and utilities industry. His professional background includes spells with BP Exploration, Price Waterhouse, Cap Gemini Sogeti, Sybase, and TransEnergy Management, prior to founding and building his own energy consulting company, VasMark Group. VasMark was acquired by UtiliPoint ® International in January 2004. Gary now has responsibility for managing and building UtiliPoint's ® Trading & Risk Management Practice where he and his colleagues have served over 50 companies with insightful industry analysis and consulting serves across North America and Europe.

  
 

Patty Walton
Director, Benchmarking Services

Ms. Walton manages UtiliPoint's benchmarking services, focusing on meter to cash operations for energy services and utility companies. Ms. Walton's experience includes managing all stages of systems development and process design/improvement projects including: vendor selection, discovery, scope, budgeting, reporting, resource allocation, scheduling, deliverables, integrating, testing, training, implementation, improvement and maintenance. She has worked with companies to establish best-of-breed service for meter management, meter reading and usage, inventory management, outage and curtailment management, field service, call center, marketing services, demand side management, accounting, billing, remittance, e-business, credit and collections, new market entry, new product development, pricing, sales support and renewals. She also has experience with mergers and acquisitions, focusing on operations integration. Her previous work history includes consulting services with Hawaiian Electric Industries, new market entry with Direct Energy Services, business planning with Alliance BridgeCo, market management with Exelon Energy, and many operations functions with Enron Energy Services.
