UtiliPoint International Releases Results of ETRM Software Implementation Survey

For Immediate Release

Albuquerque, New Mexico-June 5, 2007-UtiliPoint® International, Inc. (UtiliPoint) announces the completion and release of its report on Energy Trading, Transaction and Risk Management (ETRM) Software Implementation Projects. The study took place during the period March to April, 2007, obtaining a total of 35 responses from companies in North America and Europe that had implemented a variety of ETRM software products.

"To our knowledge, this is the first review of ETRM software implementation projects performed by an independent firm," reports co-author Dr. Gary M. Vasey, UtiliPoint's Vice President, Europe. "It suggests that the average ETRM implementation project duration is a little under one year and that it costs around two times the license fee; however, the survey data included projects with durations of under six months to those that never actually completed."

"Implementation considerations have always been somewhat secondary when companies are seeking new ETRM systems," according to Patrick Reames, UtiliPoint's Vice President of Trading and Risk Management. "This report drives home the critical nature of the implementation process, one that is high risk and potentially high cost. It will provide thought provoking information for any company considering the acquisition and implementation of a new ETRM system."

The report is available for purchase from UtiliPoint's website, along with several other groundbreaking reports and studies into ETRM software.
