New UtiliPoint® International Partners With EquaTerra to Research
Business Process Outsourcing at the Utility
|
Albuquerque, N.M., September 29, 2005—Utilities, energy companies, service providers, and regulators have recently expressed interest in understanding the outsourcing of business processes at utilities in North America. With recent events of TXU outsourcing business processes to Capgemini Energy, Williams and NiSource outsourcing business processes to IBM, many utilities and energy companies are entertaining the option with interest.
With a history of executing market-leading primary research on a variety of issues in the utility and energy industry, UtiliPoint has partnered with industry leading BPO consultant EquaTerra to perform a multi-client survey and analysis of how BPO is, or may be utilized at North American utilities and energy companies.
This effort will build survey mechanisms with the input of research sponsors and will perform phone interviews with a valid sample size of utilities and energy companies. The survey will not focus solely on information technology issues. It will be directed at senior executives operating in a management capacity at utilities/energy companies and will focus on strategic issues that result in compelling statistical value to research sponsors.
UtiliPoint studies are the result of primary research performed by dedicated UtiliPoint employees that are experts in the utility and energy industries. UtiliPoint is currently subscribing clients interested in this research. For more information please contact Jon T. Brock at 505-244-7607 or jbrock@utilipoint.com.
