—Launches Similar Study in Europe
For Immediate Release
Albuquerque, NM—October 2, 2006—UtiliPoint® International, Inc. (UtiliPoint) announced the completion and release of its report on Energy Trading, Transaction and Risk Management (ETRM) Vendor Perception and buying habits in North America and said that it would immediately conduct a similar study in Europe. The study interviewed 47 companies across North America to assess how well different vendors and products were known, opinions on market leadership, buying criteria, and more. A summary of the study was published in a UtiliPoint IssueAlert® article on September 1, 2006 and is also available at UtiliPoint's website.
The North American Study report is now available at UtiliPoint's website for purchase (http://www.utilipoint.com/rci/details.asp?ProductID=1139) for $2,000 USD. UtiliPoint will now commence a similar study in Europe with the objective of understanding ETRM vendor perception and buying habits there. The European study will also allow for comparisons to be made in terms of both vendor perception and buying habits in the ETRM Software area on both sides of the Atlantic. The Prospectus for the new study is available from Dr. Gary M. Vasey or Mr. Patrick Reames. The European study will focus on the European Union area and will interview some 50 or so companies about their perceptions and buying habits.
The European study will be UtiliPoint's initial research project in Europe following the announcement of its establishment of a European office. The company expects to follow up this study with several more in other energy and utility software areas, including CIS/CRM and Billing. According to Dr. Vasey, co-editor of Trends in Energy Trading, Transaction and Risk Management Software - A Primer (Booksurge Publishing, 2006), the European study will also look at the impact of emissions trading requirements on ETRM software in Europe.
