Synopsis:


AMI MDM is the forum for making advanced metering work for your utility or region. Whether the goal is operational AMI benefits or price responsive demand response, meter data management is the key investment to success.

This forum is designed for electric, water, and/or gas utilities, regulators, utility governing boards, ISOs, and consumer advocacy groups to come together and discuss meter data management successes, problems, issues, interfaces and best practices.

The AMI MDM Working Group is made up of five topical areas/subcommittee subjects of focus. These topical areas/subcommittee foci are:

  • AMI MDM Functionality
  • Interface to Billing
  • Interface to DR
  • Interface to Outage Management
  • Interface to AMR

If your organization fits one of the following profiles, you and another colleague from your organization may join AMI MDM for no charge. Simply send an e-mail to AMIMDM@utilipoint.com, and we will make the necessary arrangements.

To qualify for the free membership, you must be a:

  • Staff member of any utility,
  • Staff member or commissioner or a state or provincial regulatory authority,
  • Staff member or commissioner of state or provincial regulatory authority,
  • Staff member or commissioner of federal regulatory agency with regulatory authority over electric, water, and/or natural gas utilities,
  • Employee or board member of governing board of non-regulated electric, water, and/or natural gas provider, or
  • Staff of publicly funded consumer advocacy organization.

Any other interested party may join for a small annual fee of $3,000, but working group decisions are made by electric, water, and/or gas utilities, regulators, utility governing boards, ISOs, and consumer advocate groups.

If your organization doesn’t fit one of the profiles above, we welcome your participation, but there will be a small annual fee.

  • New Membership: $3,000 for one year, and may be purchased by clicking the "Buy" button at the top of this page.
  • Annual Membership Renewal: $1,000 for one year. Renewals must be processed before the membership expiration date. Otherwise, the ”New Membership” rate will apply. To renew your membership, please contact Jennifer Lucero at jlucero@utilipoint.com.

Please note that consultants working for a utility are still considered a consultant unless they are an employee of the utility (and thus, no longer a consultant.)
